Family is meant to feel like home: a place of love, safety, and belonging. But for many adults, family brings pain instead of comfort. What should feel safe can instead stir panic, grief, and deep longing.
If you’re low or no contact with your family, or coping with emotionally-immature or narcissistic parents, you may feel torn, longing for connection yet knowing that attempts to engage often lead to pain. At the same time, being out of contact can leave you missing your parents terribly. The push and pull feel exhausting.
You are not alone in this. Together, we can create boundaries that keep you safe, surround you with supportive relationships, and help you connect with your authentic self so that you can build a life that feels calm and grounded.
Feeling unsure about whether to maintain or cut ties with family
Hiding parts of yourself to keep the peace
Carrying guilt or pressure to “be the bigger person” even when it hurts
Mourning the parent or family connection you hoped for but never had
Struggling with people-pleasing, self-doubt, or anxiety
Feeling torn between love and self-protection
Understand and heal the impact of toxic family patterns
Release guilt, shame, and old family roles
Develop self-compassion and care for your own needs
Find peace with your decision to set boundaries or walk away
Build supportive, healthy relationships that reflect your true worth
Find your authentic self and feel comfortable living life on your terms
Healing happens when you are truly seen, heard, and supported without judgment. My trauma-informed, attachment-focused approach is grounded in compassion. I don’t push you toward reconciliation or estrangement. Instead, I help you uncover what is healthiest for you, emotionally and relationally.
Together, we’ll:
Untangle patterns that keep you stuck in guilt, obligation, or people-pleasing
Gently process the grief of not having received the support you needed as a child
Strengthen your sense of self so you can live with clarity, confidence, and inner peace
